Whatsapp is adding a new feature.
WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow iPhone users to send short video messages to each other. The feature was discovered by WABetaInfo, and it's not yet available for users, even those with the beta version of WhatsApp. This suggests that the developers are still working on it.
According to WABetaInfo, sending video messages on WhatsApp will be as easy as sending an audio message. Users will only need to hold down a button to record a video of up to 60 seconds. Once the video is sent, it will appear in the chat as a circular format and play automatically. What's interesting is that these short video messages are end-to-end encrypted, and they can't be forwarded or saved, but screenshots are allowed. I think it's a good feature.
This new feature will certainly be useful for users who want to quickly show something important through the camera. It's uncertain when WhatsApp plans to roll out the short video messages feature to everyone, but it's a promising addition that will give users more options to express themselves on the platform.
